Chief Operating Officer

The Ditchley Foundation (ditchley.com) exists to shape the future through collaborative thinking at the very highest level across politics, education, technology, science, the environment, science, business and international relations. Central to the Foundation’s identity is its unique setting at Ditchley Park.

Over the last four years, under the leadership of James Arroyo OBE, its current Director, Ditchley has successfully transformed itself into a leading 21st century organisation, whilst remaining true to its heritage and values.  The next four years should see a further step change in Ditchley’s reach, profile and financial resources.  

Key to the future will be the appointment of a new chief operating officer (COO) to work closely with the Director.  The COO will have the skills and experience to play a leading role in taking Ditchley to the next level of impact, profile, efficiency and financial sustainability, whilst safeguarding and improving grade one listed Ditchley Park as a national treasure set in historic parkland and gardens.

The COO will lead on financial management and be deputy to the Director (CEO) for the operation of Ditchley as an organisation and as a historic house and estate as the organisation invests in its future as a global thought leader.   

The successful candidate will need to understand and be committed to Ditchley’s purpose as a 21st century connecting and convening organisation, focused on the renewal of democracies and democratic alliances.

In addition to salary and pension, benefits include an attractive grade II period house with garden on the estate (not taxable) suitable for the COO (and their family).
